The sophomore album by Ontario, Canada's Article One steps up the Christian pop-rock concoction the band devised for their 2006 debut, AO. COLORS AND SOUNDS doesn't forge new territory, but Article One's radio-ready, Coldplay-influenced tunes are sharper here, and the combination of Matt Piche's violin, and Nathan Piche's vocals, guitar, keyboards, and songwriting is winning. Whether on rockers that pulse and soar ("Without You (I'm Not Alright)") or ballads ("Set to Start (Fall for Love)"), this is tuneful, positive CCM pop rock.
