On their second album, WITH THE VILEST OF WORMS TO DWELL, Austrian symphonic death metallers Hollenthon expand their musical pallette even further to include blasts of jazzy horns and massed monk-like chanting. Never settling for the easy thrill when they can create something huge and lasting, Hollenthon aim for epic largesse on every single song. The driving, riff-heavy opener "Y Draig Goch" is prime adventure movie soundtrack fare, and the triumphant synths of "Lords of Bedlam" could accompany a barbarian conquest. Hollenthon wants to make music that scores nothing less than the final battle between heaven and hell. They get closer with every release.
