Wzt Hearts (pronounced "Wet Hearts") is a Baltimore-based quartet consisting of various laptop improvisers and indie-rock refuseniks. The group's second album, THREADS ROPE SPELL MAKING YOUR BONES, contains the kind of open-form, aleatoric chaos favored by electro-acoustic composers and other similar noise fetishists. Tempering the blistering shards of digital feedback with moments of calming drone, THREADS is engaging post-rock experimentation that boldly traverses the limitations of genre, instrumentation, and even music itself.
